The aim of this research project is to obtain data useful to define the new operative requirements for the acquisition of the new IT Navy naval vessels endowed with electric propulsion. Moreover, the project has also the goal to help the IT Navy in understanding issues and applicable solutions to successfully design, and manage AC and hybrid AC/DC integrated power systems for new ships. The research project starts from real naval vessels data, obtained from both navy design sheets and direct field measurements campaigns, and focuses on the definition of guidelines to integrate the best actual technologies with the future research results.
